A spring rain showered the Kuerdening scenic spot on Saturday in Gongliu county of Ili Kazak autonomous prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. Drifting mist shrouded the valleys, and with the blue sky, snow-capped mountains, winding rivers, and lush forests, it formed a picturesque scene like a paradise on earth.
The scenic area was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2013 as part of the Xinjiang Tianshan property. It is known for its rare ancient forests of spruce trees and a unique north-south-oriented valley. Such mist brought by spring rains is often seen in this dreamlike landscape.
