Dozen players advance through Volvo China Open Qualifying in Shanghai
Amateur Han Jin (68) and veteran Wu Di (70) finished atop the leaderboard during second-round play of the Volvo China Open Qualifying at Enhance Anting Golf Club in Shanghai on Wednesday as the tournament decided 12 spots for next month's national championship.
With the 31st Volvo China Open set to take place April 23-26, also at Enhance Anting, Han and Wu both finished on six-under 136. Wu Tuxuan (72) was third at three shots back.
Other Chinese mainland players to qualify for the $2.75 million championship, a DP World Tour and China Tour co-sanctioned event, were Liu Enhua (70), She Zihan (71), overnight co-leader Deng Tao (75), Ye Wocheng (68) and Zhang Yuze (72). Xue Han (74) grabbed the final spot when he prevailed in a three-man playoff.
