One person was killed and 25 others were injured in a fire at a building in Taiyuan, Shanxi province, on the evening of March 28, according to Xinhua News Agency.

The fire broke out on the exterior facade of a building on Qinxian Street in Taiyuan. The flames have been extinguished.

All the injured, including seven who are severely injured, have been taken to the hospital for treatment.

Firefighters, police, and local emergency responders are continuing rescue operations at the scene.
