A cultural event titled "Taste of China" has been held in New York City to celebrate Spring Festival.
The two-day event, which ended on Monday, attracted more than 400 guests from China and abroad, showcasing Chinese intangible cultural heritage, cuisine and folk traditions to promote cross-cultural exchange.
A Shandong Confucius-family cuisine team presented classic dishes while introducing their culinary heritage and philosophy. Smart cooking equipment was also used to prepare Sichuan dishes like spicy chicken and mapo tofu, highlighting the integration of traditional Chinese food culture with modern technology.
Interactive heritage displays — including sugar painting, dough modeling and kite making — drew strong interest, especially items featuring the upcoming Year of the Horse theme, allowing visitors to experience Chinese traditional culture firsthand.
