The Fujian Coast Guard conducts patrols near the islands of Taiwan, Matsu and Wuqiu on December 29. During the operation, a Taiwan vessel addressed a Fujian Coast Guard ship in English. The Fujian Coast Guard responded: "Both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to one China. We are all Chinese. Please communicate in Chinese. 'Taiwan independence' leads only to a dead end.
