Fudan University looking for a new School of Management dean
The School of Management of Fudan University is globally looking for a dean with a forward-looking and strategic vision, aiming to enhance internationalization and further promote the school's overall development, as per an announcement on Tuesday.
The new dean is expected to advance international collaboration and exchange, expand high-level global partnerships, as well as take on other responsibilities in a five-year term, such as leading the school's operations, developing strategic plans for disciplinary advancement, spearheading the reform of educational practices, fostering a high-caliber faculty team and strengthening the school's research and innovation capacity, said the announcement.
A strong global perspective, a forward-looking and strategic vision, cross-cultural communication skills, as well as the capability to lead the development of a first-class discipline are highlighted in the qualifications and criteria for candidates. Qualified individuals may directly submit the required application materials before Dec 15, and organizational recommendations are also welcome before the same date, according to the announcement.
The origin of the Fudan University's School of Management can be traced back to 1917, when the university first launched its business discipline. Reestablished in 1975 after ups and downs, the school has seen rapid development over the past four decades. Consisting of eight departments, it includes many disciplines and subdisciplines that award doctoral degrees and master's degrees, as well as several undergraduate programs and mobile stations for post-doctoral research. By the end of 2024, the school had a total alumni of more than 62,000.
