Private companies valued at $1 billion and above are called "unicorns". There are 176 unicorn companies with a total cumulative valuation of $626 billion in the world as of August 31, according to the unicorn list released by consulting firm CB Insights.
Here are the top 10 most valuable unicorns in the world.
