*** In Shanghai, I got a ticket for the Big Bus sightseeing tour, which led me to download their app. It was incredibly useful as it listed major -- and some not-so major -- sights with facts, hours of operation and admittance fees. In the future, I will look into using these types of apps without booking the bus tour. Going by metro and cabs is more convenient and cheaper.
