Two books exclusively featuring pictures of hamster bottoms became a hit in Japan, having sold nearly 40,000 copies in the country, foreign media reported. A Facebook page devoted to hamster bottoms has attracted nearly 10,000 followers. There is also a new word "hamuketsu" emerging from the trend, which is a mashup of the Japanese word for "hamster" and "buttocks". A spokesman for one of the hamuketsu book publishers says that he can't stop smiling when he sees those butts.
