The 2011"Qingyuan chicken" Culture Festival of Food and Tourism will be held in Yiwu International Trade City from December 12, 2011 to January 3, 2012. It is sponsored by China Hotel Association, Qingcheng District Government, Qingyuan Tourism Administration, and Qingyuan Agricultural Bureau. The festival is a major part of the Guangdong international tourism cultural festival.
In addition to the "Qingyuan chicken" cooking competition, beer carnival, local specialty exhibition, and festival entertainment program, the food culture festival will invite more than 20 famous artists from south of the Five Ridges in China. The artists "Qingyuan chicken" paintings will be sold at a charity auction.
Visitors will also be able to taste "Qingyuan chicken" cooked by the first Qingyuan food steamer and oven. An assortment of special local snacks will also be available. In addition, distinguished restaurants from Qingyuan will be awarded at the opening ceremony of food culture festival.
