Founder of Jiayuan.com

Gong Haiyan, born in 1976, holds a bachelor's degree in Chinese literature from Peking University and a master's degree in journalism from Fudan University.

In 2003, Gong founded Jiayuan.com, China's largest online dating platform. In October 2010, she founded Xique.com, a web portal owned by Jiayuan.

Jiayuan.com ranks among the top in terms of total visitors, second only to Match.com, the world's largest online dating website. Jiayuan also dominates 58 percent of web traffic for MSN China.

Jiayuan, with daily unique visitors of three million, accounts for 54.41 percent of the market share in the online dating industry, according to statistics in 2010.
