Longoria dispells rumours of lesbian role

Eva Longoria has spoken out against rumours that she is set to appear as Beyonce Knowles' girlfriend in an upcoming film.

The rumours, which started about a week ago, also mentioned that Sofia Coppola would be directing the movie.

"Stop the madness," Longoria told People magazine. "Believe me, I would love to work with Beyonce one day. She's so talented. But this is definitely not something we are doing together. It's completely and absolutely not true."

The film was said to be an adaptation of Sarah Waters' book, "Tipping the Velvet."
