Adidas Training has named Chinese movie star Yao Chen as its new ambassador, seeking to increase the brand’s appeal to young Chinese women.

“We are excited to have Yao Chen represent the campaign’s theme to inspire women to enjoy exercise,” said Jens Meyer, vice-president of marketing with Adidas China.

“Adidas’ ‘a(chǎn)ll in’ attitude matches my own views on life – stay healthy, engaged, and happy. Sports and exercise bring people together, allow us to express our passion for life, and help us all stay healthy while having fun,” said Yao Chen.
