China calls on all sides in Syria to keep restraint

BEIJING - China Tuesday called on all sides in Syria to keep "utmost restraint and abandon violence" so as to avoid further escalation of the situation and causing more casualties.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu made the remarks in response to a journalist's question in Beijing.
