Wife obtains divorce using stand-in husband

Updated: 2009-03-12 08:48 After her husband refused to divorce her, a woman in Xiantao, Hubei province, asked another man to pose as her husband, in order to obtain an uncontested divorce. The man surnamed Peng refused to divorce his wife Wang last December and then she left home and didn't return. Early in February, Wang took all the required papers as well as Peng's ID card and secretly applied for a divorce with another man. Peng learned about the divorce after Wang's cousin delivered a certificate to him. A lawyer suggested Peng could file an administrative litigation to invalidate the divorce. (Chutian Jinbao News) |
