Shares up 1.23% on gains of property sector

Chinese shares rose 1.23 percent Wednesday, led by strong performance of property shares.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 34.10 points, or 1.23 percent, to close at 2,810.12. The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 11,040.49 points, up 243.29 points, or 2.25 percent.

Aggregate turnover expanded to 186.046 billion yuan ($27.21 billion) from 167.22 billion yuan of the previous trading day.
