China Merchants Energy Shipping Co Ltd said it has signed a 232 million US dollars order with Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co Ltd for two oil tankers.

In a statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, China Merchants said the two very large crude carriers displacing 300,000 deadweight tons are expected to be delivered in December 2010 and March 2011.

The deal is pending approval from regulators.
