Shares fell for a second straight day on Friday on the Chinese mainland, wrapping up the market's worst week this year.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 38.4 points, or 1.8 percent, to close at 2,082.85. For the week, it fell 7.9 percent, but it rose 4.6 percent for all of February.
