Blooming Chinese fringe trees drape a village in Qujing, Yunnan province, in a pure white mantle, creating a scene reminiscent of a spring snowfall.
Every April, the Chinese fringe trees in Huzi village burst into full bloom, their branches laden with white flowers that look like snow. As a gentle breeze sweeps through, the petals flutter gracefully, releasing a subtle, enchanting fragrance that creates a dreamlike scene.
The Chinese fringe tree, a national second-class protected plant, gets its name from its flowers, which resemble the tassels on the garments of ancient noblewomen.
The trees' peak blooming period lasts about 15 days and now is the perfect time to enjoy the scene, according to locals.
