Former Shanxi governor prosecuted for bribery

BEIJING -- Jin Xiangjun, former governor of North China's Shanxi province, is being prosecuted over bribery charges, the country's top procuratorate said on Monday.
Jin is accused of abusing his various positions, including his role as Shanxi governor, to seek profits for others and accept bribes involving money and valuables in "a huge amount."
Jin was expelled from the Communist Party of China and dismissed from public office in October last year.
