Qingdao Plum Garden bursts into bloom with 200 varieties

More than 20,000 plum trees have burst into full bloom at a scenic spot in Qingdao, Shandong province, creating a breathtaking spring landscape and drawing crowds of visitors.
The Qingdao Plum Garden, located in Licang district, spans about 53 hectares and is home to a diverse floral display of more than 200 varieties of plum blossoms.
Adding to the charm, the garden recently opened its annual flower festival, kicking off a citywide series of events through late May that blends shopping, sightseeing, hiking, and cultural experiences.
In Chinese culture, the plum blossom is revered as one of the "Four Noble Ones", along with the orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum. It symbolizes integrity and good morals.
