East China's Shandong province achieved a regional gross domestic product of 10.32 trillion yuan ($1.48 trillion) in 2025, a year-on-year growth of 5.5 percent, according to a press conference held by the Information Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government on Friday.
The coastal economic powerhouse has become the third provincial-level region in China, after the provinces of Guangdong and Jiangsu, to see its annual GDP surpass the 10-trillion-yuan milestone. It is also the first in northern China to achieve this, officials said.
