China, Pakistan Strengthen Vocational Education Cooperation

China and Pakistan signed a series of cooperation agreements to strengthen vocational education, focusing on linking industry requirements with practical skills training. The announcements were made at the “Seminar on International Cooperation and Exchange: Integration of Industry and Education in Vocational Education between China and Pakistan” in Beijing, where 21 documents were signed and five cooperation platforms launched.

The agreements cover areas including Culinary Arts & Nutrition, Fashion and Costume Design, Food Inspection and Testing, Supply Chain Operations, Fine Chemical Technology, Modern Agriculture Production, and Information Security Technology Applications. Pakistani authorities, including NAVTTC and provincial technical education bodies, along with private partners, will develop professional standards, teaching resources, faculty training, and enterprise-linked programs to prepare youth for real-world employment.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s rice and other food products also gained ground in China during January–November 2025. Rice exports reached $49.37 million, up from $43.49 million in the same period last year, while flour, meat, and related products rose by 56% to $35.57 million, reflecting strong market demand, better processing, packaging, and compliance with Chinese import regulations.
