Climate issue

Ramazan Ozkaya, chairman of the Central Union of Fisheries Cooperatives, said in an interview with Daily Sabah that climate change had impacted Turkiye's marine ecosystem.

A new research has detected microplastics at varying rates in the digestive system of 11 commercial fish in the Gulf of Izmir. Plastic products that are ubiquitous in our daily life are all sources of microplastics, according to Daily Sabah. Plastic pollution threatens marine life and ecosystems on a global scale and increases ecological risks.
