China cuts prices of gasoline, diesel

China reduced the retail prices of gasoline and diesel on Tuesday, to reflect recent changes in international oil prices. Gasoline prices were cut by 265 yuan ($37.39) per metric ton, and diesel prices were cut by 255 yuan per ton, according to the National Development and Reform Commission.

'Second home' to lift well-being of workers

Amid the country's drive to further boost people's well-being, Chinese railway operators are improving the conditions of railway staff members to help them provide better services. As a key Party meeting in Beijing voiced an urge to further improve public well-being and people's living standards, staff members of Taiyuan Works Machinery Section in North China's Shanxi province have moved into new "homes". As a unit in charge of screening, grinding and replacing rails, its employees are constantly on the move at the front line, and camp cars serve as their "second home". After the update, all five camp cars have been renewed with a well-equipped cinema room, gym and shower rooms.
