On behalf of the UK government, Seema Malhotra, parliamentary under-secretary of State in the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, extended congratulations on?the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, and spoke highly of the growing China-UK relations.

She highlighted security, environment, and economic growth as three priorities to shape UK's vision for future China-UK relations, and expressed her willingness to take the ties forward in a constructive and effective way.
