Macao sees growth in MICE events
The number of meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions held in the Macao Special Administrative Region surged in the first half of this year, said the region's Statistics and Census Service on Tuesday. Data showed that Macao hosted 918 MICE events between January and June, representing a 29.3 percent year-on-year increase. Meetings and conferences accounted for the bulk, rising 29.6 percent to 863 events, with participants increasing by 6.7 percent to 82,000. Exhibitions also edged up 3.8 percent to 27.
Beijing's NEV output exceeds 2024 level
Beijing's new energy vehicle production surged past 310,000 units in the first seven months, exceeding its total output for the entire previous year, according to the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology. Production in July alone reached 52,000 NEVs, representing a year-on-year increase of 140 percent, according to the official data.
