The world's only surviving giant panda triplets, known as Mengmeng, Shuaishuai, and Kuku, celebrated their 11th birthday on Tuesday at a safari park in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province.

The celebration was filled with joy and warmth, as the giant panda triplets leisurely indulged in their specially prepared birthday cakes at the Chimelong Safari Park.

The cakes were made from honey water, fruit chunks, bamboo shoots, carrots, and bamboo, ensuring a balance of health and deliciousness.

The Guangzhou-based safari park has developed over 10 recipes for giant pandas and collaborated with the China Bamboo Research and Development Center to create 13 varieties of bamboo specifically for giant pandas born in Guangdong, according to Chen Shuqing, a caretaker at the park.

"These efforts help provide giant pandas with a diet tailored to their life in South China, ensuring they receive ample nutrition," said Chen.

Since being granted permission to prepare for giant panda breeding, Chimelong has bred 11 giant pandas, building the largest and most successful giant panda translocation conservation population in South China.
