Former steel plant transforms into unique Chongqing museum

The Chongqing Industrial Museum, located in Dadukou district of Chongqing, has evolved from the remnants of an old iron and steel company and has emerged as a popular tourist destination. Since its inauguration in September 2019, the museum has welcomed an average of approximately 200,000 visitors annually.
The unique, industrial-style museum was built from a section of the former Chongqing Iron and Steel Group's steel plant. It comprises a main exhibition hall, the Steel Soul Gallery and the Industrial Heritage Park.
