In golden autumn, farmers in Guyuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, are harvesting potatoes — affectionately called "yangyu eggs" by local residents.
Potatoes have been a major source of food for residents in the region, especially before they were lifted out of poverty.
In recent years, Guyuan continues to guide farmers to adjust their planting structure and scale in a scientific, orderly way to help increase their yields and incomes.
This year, nearly 67,000 hectares of land in the city were planted with potatoes, with an expected output of 1.5 million metric tons valued at 2 billion yuan ($282 million).
