De Arrascaeta considering Flamengo exit, says agent
RIO DE JANEIRO -- Giorgian de Arrascaeta could leave Flamengo after this year's FIFA World Cup, the Uruguayan midfielder's agent has revealed.
De Arrascaeta is contracted to the Brazilian Serie A club until December 2026 but is understood to have attracted the interest of several clubs in South America and Europe.
"Giorgian is comfortable at Flamengo, the people love him, he's the best foreigner in the Brazilian Championship. We'll see after the World Cup if he stays or leaves," agent Daniel Fonseca told Uruguay's Sport890 radio station.
According to football data platform TransferMarkt, De Arrascaeta has a market value of 18 million euros.
Capped 38 times for Uruguay, De Arrascaeta has made 155 first-team appearances and scored 45 goals for Flamengo since his 2019 move from Cruzeiro.
