A video shows a young woman dancing on a frozen lake at Jiaozi Snow Mountain in Kunming, Yunnan province.

Zhang Jingyi, 27, began to learn figure skating during her childhood in Kunming and has kept up great enthusiasm for ice and snow sports.

Jiaozi Snow Mountain is 4,247 meters high and around 180 kilometers from Kunming, where it rarely snows.

When Zhang heard the lake on the mountain had frozen, she immediately set off, skates in tow.

"I have been in love with figure skating since I was a little girl," she said. "I always enjoy the feeling of freedom while skating on the ice. I also hope to show the beauty of figure skating in nature."
