Joaquin Correa joins Inter Milan
ROME -- The Italian Serie A side Inter Milan continued enhancing its attacking line as the defending champion announced the arrival of Joaquin Correa from Lazio on Thursday.
Having joined Lazio in 2018, Correa scored 30 goals in 117 appearances for the Biancocelesti in a three-year spell. Following Edin Dzeko, the 27-year-old is another important reinforcement for the Nerazzurri after Romelu Lukaku returned to Chelsea.
"FC Internazionale Milano is delighted to confirm the signing of Joaquin Correa. The 27-year-old has joined the club from Lazio on an initial loan with an obligation to make the transfer permanent. The Argentine forward has penned a contract with the Nerazzurri that runs until 30 June 2025," read a statement from Inter.
According to the figures disclosed by Lazio, the transfer fee can be up to 31 million euros.
Correa is expected to make his debut for Inter in the Serie A game against Hellas Verona on Friday.
