Premier to talk with Russian counterpart

Premier Li Keqiang will hold the 25th regular meeting with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin via video link on Wednesday. The meeting is significant as both countries aim to coordinate efforts to carry out COVID-19 pandemic control and prevention and promote bilateral cooperation in all areas, Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said on Thursday. The meeting will inject strong impetus for bilateral ties and serve as an exchange of wisdom from both nations regarding global economic recovery and their fight against the virus, Zhao said.

Li to attend video meeting of SCO leaders

From Beijing, Premier Li Keqiang will attend via video link the 19th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which will be hosted by India on Monday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian announced on Thursday. During the meeting, Li and other participants will discuss deepening SCO cooperation amid the COVID-19 pandemic; building more consensus and formulating more practical measures to help resume economic growth; and ways to improve people's livelihood in the SCO member countries, Zhao said.

Rare stamps depicting CPC leadership shown

Some 50 precious stamps issued from 1930 to 1950－including a few that were rare and of which there was only one copy－went on display for one day in Beijing on Thursday. The stamps were issued by administrations under the leadership of the Communist Party of China during the period and bore witness to historical events including the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) and the War of Liberation (1946-49), said Sun Jiangtao, a renowned painter and stamp collector in China. The stamps were from Sun's collection and that of Fu Jiaju, another renowned Chinese stamp collector.
