Xinjiang remain unbeaten, Shenzhen end losing streak
BEIJING - Last season's runners-up Xinjiang Flying Tigers beat Jilin Northeast Tigers 112-107 on Wednesday, extended the winning streak to five games and remained unbeaten since the start of the 2019-2020 CBA season.
Xinjiang overcame the remarkable challenge from Jilin, who took down last season's champions Guangdong in the previous round.
Jarnell Stokes had 31 points for Xinjiang. Dominique Jones contributed a triple-double with 35 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for Jilin.
Star-studded Shenzhen Aviators finally ended their unexpected losing streak after edging Beijing Ducks 109-104. It was the first win for Shenzhen, who was ranked fourth in last season's CBA standings.
Shenzhen scorer Shabazz Muhammad topped the game with 35 points. Local guard He Xining added 26.
With five players scoring double digits, Zhejiang Lions defeat Jiangsu Dragons 87-75. Zhu Junlong scored a career-high 16 points while Aaron Jackson contributed 15 points, Hu Jinqiu added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Hou Yifan scored a team-high 16 points for Jiangsu.
In Nanchang, the away team Fujian Sturgeons smashed Bayi Rockets 129-107.
