As President Xi has noted this morning, the only way to understand each other is to study each other's past, and to work together for the present and the future.
And we can all spend more time and energy, as President Xi said, thinking about why we are different, why we're similar to each other, how to put those differences behind us and also work in collaboration.
One of the points he made this morning was about how the future for Asia is not about one country doing well. It's about everybody growing together and of course that makes entire sense to me.
So this is a time in history right now where lots of parts of the world look very fragile. So I think it's important to be trying to talk about ways of working close together.
