BELGRADE - Serbia achieved their second home victory in the European qualifications for the FIBA Basketball World Cup in China 2019 on Monday by beating Georgia 105-87.
After an even first quarter at 21-21 at the Aleksandar Nikolic hall in Belgrade, the home team started struggling when Michael Dixon scored 23 points in the first half to put Georgia in front at 45-444.
Thanks to Miroslav Raduljica and Stefan Peno, Serbia managed to stop Dixon to gain 10-point lead on 74-64 for good.
Raduljica scored 28 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, while Dixon scored 36 points and dished out 9 assists.
Serbia and Germany are at the top of Group G, with two victories each, and will meet in February.
