A total of 5,599 women wearing qipao dresses set a new Guinness World Record on Thursday at a qipao show in Siping city, Northeast China's Jilin province.
Qipao, a traditional Chinese dress, is usually connected with feminine images of nobleness and elegance.
Siping is well known as the hometown of the qipao and the show created a colorful scene in the city.
