| Chinese females wearing traditional dresses take part in a Qixi Festival cultural activity in Kaifeng, Central China's Henan province, Aug 27, 2017. Traditionally in Qixi Festival, girls will throw a sewing needle into a bowl full of water on the night of Qixi as a test of embroidery skills. If the needle floated on top of the water instead of sinking, it proved the girl was a skilled embroider. Single women also prayed for a good husband. And the newly married women prayed for pregnancy. [Photo by Li Junsheng/Asianewsphoto] |
